Dalat Palace Golf Club boasts a colourful history that can be seen and felt throughout each of its 18 inventive holes.

Designed initially by a French Architect, but brought to life by Vietnam’s last Emperor Bao Dai throughout the 1920’s, the course opened and closed throughout the next 70 years in concert with ensuing political events.

The Championship 18 hole, 7,009 yard, par 72, bent- grass green, fairways and tees are enhanced by a full bent-grass practice facility with driving range and putting green. The course has been expertly crafted into Dalat’s mountainous setting through stately pine trees creating a naturally challenging golfing environment.

Overlooking famous Xuan Huong Lake, Dalat Palace Golf Course offers an optimal golfing environment, with access to a range of trained professionals amongst the inspiring and nostalgic history of the charming country of Vietnam.

SAM Tuyen Lam Golf Resort located in the east of Tuyen Lam Lake tourist area. With valley topography, surrounded by sloping hills and primeval pine forests, 18 holes golf course is the center and the heart of the valley is a natural high mound which is a highlight for the formation of a four-star hotel, a golf clubhouse and next to it is the driving range.

At the halfway is the winding path following the slope of the hill. Standing anywhere we can feel a combination of high-level works among the pure natural hills, approaching the path will lead us to each resort villa directing toward the golf course.

Tuyen Lam Lake is 5km far from Dalat City with fresh air, peaceful space, diversified and charming natural landscapes: forest, mountain, lake, stream, water fall…and has many attract human cultures that promise to become a large-scale tourist site with many special tourist forms such as: sightseeing the landscapes, camping, relaxing, going on honey moon, sporting, treating deceases, walking, climbing mountain, going fishing, visiting revolution foundation, festival – religion, visiting K’ho’s village, entertaining, etc. especially the tourist form of ecotourism.

Located in the zone of Tuyen Lam lake, SAM Tuyen Lam Golf Club design aims to develop the beauty of nature, create a unique scenic landscape with two distinct spaces, including:

The peninsula located at the center of the lake, in the center of Tuyen Lam Lake tourist area, separated from the rest areas. It is a combination resort with a five- star hotel, 125 peninsula villas facing the lake and putting backs to the mountain, 45 villas at marina area.

This also gathers a combination of conferences, entertainment, leisure, and sport with high standard to serve for both the customers staying at the resort and the outside tourists visiting the resort.

– Far from Dalat City’s center about 5km to the south, far from Lien Khuong airport of 15km to the north we have the following traffic routes leading to the SAM Tuyen Lam Resort Project:

+ The route from km No.5 of the Highway 20, in the middle of the Prenn mountain pass we turn right and go about 1.5km. It is convenient for the tourists come from Dalat City or Ho Chi Minh City to the tourist site with the beautiful primeval pine forest ranges in the both sides of the road.

+ The route at Bao Dai’s Palace 3 (Trieu Viet Vuong Street) with the length of 4.2km is the main route for the tourists come from Dalat City’s center to the tourist site.

+ From Lien Khuong Highway, at the food of Prenn mountain pass has a route leading directly to Tuyen Lam Lake so the tourists will meet SAM Tuyen Lam project right away, and will be very convenient for the tourists from Ho Chi Minh City.

+ Besides, there is a Dalat – Tuyen Lam cable car route with the length of 2.3km brought into use from January 2003 that will be very convenient for taking the tourists from Robin Hill to the tourist.

Overview & records of Dalat 1200 golf course

The Dalat at 1200 Golf Course was opened in November 2015, with Bent Grass Aprons and Greens and Bermuda 419 fairways and rough and was the 3rd golf course in this highland city.

The Dalat at 1200 Country Club is situated 15 minutes from the Dalat Airport. The combined effort of Peter Rousseau and Kyi Hla Han, as a PAR 73 Championship Course which blends seamlessly with the natural environment, a key design feature. The year-round temperature in the highlands is a cool 16 – 26ºC, ideal for outdoor activities and the growing of abundant supply of fresh fruit and vegetables.

The alpine course is sprawled across 2,100 acres of a hilly pine tree forest with a 450-acre natural spring-fed lake at its center. The elevation change between holes makes this a cart only course, the abundance of fresh water streams, strategically placed bunkers, rice paddies, lakes, pine trees and natural obstacles makes for interesting game play. Additional local flowers and bushes have been planted to frame each hole and provide unique challenges and different scenic views.

The holes have long green to tee distances and significant elevation changes between them, so golf carts are mandatory even for golf professionals.

With Bent grass aprons and greens this is a playing surface many golfers in Asia do not get to play on, so be careful the speed of the greens will provide a few surprises to the unwary or over confident short game players.
